June Newsletter 24

The Nursery Manager writes…

This time of year is when we say our goodbyes to all the children moving up to school in September. Although they will be missed, we know they leave us well-prepared for all the challenges and rewards that school promises. Meanwhile, nursery life here at Highwood goes on, and in that spirit, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all the families who have joined our community over the last few weeks. This month I have two important reminders… If your child uses nappies, please ensure we have a plentiful supply of nappies, wipes and cream… And if your child is leaving us, we will require one full month’s notice. Many thanks for reading.

Em’s Friendly Farm

Em’s Friendly Farm will visit on 22 July, and letters about this will be sent out shortly. It is a prime opportunity for children to meet a range of farm animals and learn about their needs. Past visits have proved to be very stimulating multi-sensory experiences for the youngsters.

Funding

Don’t forget. A new term begins in September, and funding will be available to parents of children aged nine months and over. Importantly, you will need to give us your code and National Insurance number. We will then give you a form to complete. If you need any help or assistance, please contact Kirsten. You can check your eligibility on the government’s Childcare Choices website by clicking here.
