College staff & self paying students

    3 months - 2 years £5.90 per hour

    2 years - 3 years £5.85 per hour

    Pre-School £5.80 per hour

Due to a high demand in places, we now operate a strict minimum requirement of a 4 hour session in the morning and afternoon for all sections of the nursery. Please see our Baby unit and Nursery Sessions Policy, Early Years Education and Funding, along with our Nursery Hours Guidance. All these can be found in our brochure and contact more specific information.

    Childcare vouchers

We accept a variety of childcare voucher schemes already. Please speak to the Nursery Manager about paying your nursery fees using a voucher scheme that your employer may operate.

    Sickness & absence

Due to strict staffing ratios, full fees will apply if your child is sent home due to sickness or is absent for any reason, even with prior notification. Individual circumstances may be reviewed at the managers discretion for long term sickness and hospitalisation if in excess of 4 weeks.

No charge is made for Bank Holidays or any time the Nursery is closed. Children attending all year round will be entitled to two weeks half fees (at their normal hours) for holiday with at least one full weeks notice, all holiday periods run from August to July in line with our financial year. If you are claiming EYE funding over 38 weeks your holiday entitlement will only be given to holidays taken during the school holiday period. Unfortunately if you are claiming EYE funding through the stretched offer over 50 weeks, you will not be able to access any half fee entitlement. Holiday entitlement does not apply to term time only children. Brockenhurst College staff and self paying students will be entitled to up to seven weeks half fees, with at least 1 full weeks notice. We request that all holiday entitlements are taken as full weeks Monday to Friday.

    Nursery & Pre-school introductory sessions

We will provide up to 3 introductory sessions giving you and your child a chance to get to know the staff who will be caring for your child. These sessions will help your child settle into a Nursery routine. Staff within the Nursery will discuss settling sessions with you when you book a place.

    Early Years Education Funding

Highwood is able to offer the Universal Early Years Education Funding for all 3 year olds from the term after their third birthday and Extended 30hour funding for those parents eligible as well as specific 2 year funding for those children who meet the criteria. Any additional hours or meals over the free entitlement will be charged at the normal rate. For further information please speak to the nursery manager.
